While net neutrality has international importance, regulation by the US government is going to have the biggest impact. Jon “Hannibal” Stokes, the genius behind Ars Technica’s most in depth computing articles, has written a summary about why net neutrality is so important. Check it out here. I don’t have access to my congressmen here, but I’m hoping my American friends are paying attention. Allowing telecoms to create a tiered Internet will not only be inconvenient, it could destroy the US’s lead in technical innovation. Congress is for sale, and it’s not in America’s best interest. |

Net Neutrality threatened in Norway…
While this hasn’t happened yet in the US, Norway has highlighted an example of how customers can loose when ISPs don’t keep their networks neutral.
