I’ve been through Ahmdedabad, Udaipur and now Jodhpur. The highlight of the trip so far was drinking beer with other travelers on a balcony looking over the lake palace in Udiapur. It’s where they filmed Octopussy, which is shown in all the local restaurants. It’s a really magical and relaxing place, and a good break from the hectic urban centers. Some of us rented a little paddle boat to go out to the lake palace. Those things are a lot harder work than they look! So we didn’t get very far, but it was a fun way to spend an hour.

 I’m off to Pushkar next. It’s another traveler’s hang out. I’ll post again soon.
