As you probably know, London was bombed today by terrorists. As I ride my bike to work, I was unscathed, and only experienced an eerie lack of traffic on my way home. I luckily avoided the chaos at Edgware Rd, as I ride by that station on the way to work.

In general people have gone about their day as normal, though most took advantage of the excuse to go home early. It?s been very interesting to observe how London has handled this sort of situation. Credit the jaded London personality, or experiences with the IRA, but I?m amazed at how little this attack as affected the city. All public transportation is expected to return tomorrow, and people are already queuing (lining) up for bus rides home. None of this boycotting transportation like in the U.S. after 9/11.

Time will tell how much damage this has caused. But I hope that people here have the sense to move on as quickly as possible, and not give the attackers the satisfaction of damaging the economy.
