I wanted to capture an image in the style of Ansel Adams. I used some of his regular techinques such as a yellow filter to darken the sky, and dodging when developing.
This is a lovely shot - very reminiscent of Adams. He loved the way light brings out the many different textures and patterns of the natural environment, especially when shot in black and white.
Very nice. You sure have captured the look you wanted. I really like this image. Well done. is it completely film and old style processing or did you do any photoshop with it?
Its all digital, but I kept to only using techniques that Adams used in the dark room. Admittedly these techniques are a lot easier in photoshop since you can see what your doing as you do it.
