Please note that your “moth” is a butterfly (Day flying, doesn’t have
feather antennae, etc).
It is in the skipper family (bent antennae tips).
It is a long-tailed skipper of some sort, perhaps what is actually called
Long-tailed Skipper. Was it greenish above? That suggests Long-tailed
Skipper, but there are others. There are lots of these and the photo isn’t
labeled as to where it was shot.
It appears to ne nectaring on Porterweed (Stachytarpheta), a great nectar
plant and used in lots of butterfly gardens.
