Bank holiday weekend |
|
On a more cheerful note than yesterday’s post, here’s some pictures from my 3 day weekend. On Saturday I went to SW4 with Mike, Nick, Patrick and some of Mike’s kiwi friends. We saw a bunch of DJ’s, but the notable headliners were Carl Cox, John Digweed, and Sasha. It was very good, though I don’t know if house (or break beat, or whatever it was) is my cup of tea. However, it was a gorgeous day out in the park with good spirits all around. Possibly drug induced, but good spirits just the same. Sunday I decided to relax, and since the sun was finally out, I took Hugo to Hampstead Heath. It’s a huge park along the north side of central London. Since it was the first nice day in a couple of weeks, it was more crowded than usual. Though it wasn’t hard to disappear into the woods and forget that you’re in the middle of a big city. Then on Monday I went to Notting Hill Carnival. Cessi, some of her friends and I wandered around taking in all the sites, and ended up getting a bit separated from the rest of the group. So I wasn’t able to get my groove on at the Good Times bus. Oh well, it was tons of fun anyway, and I was relieved to collapse on my sofa, away from the crowds. So all in all, it was an epic weekend. Now back to work… |
