Over Christmas I spent 10 days in Grand Cayman with my family. It was supposed to be a geographic compromise, as my sister and I are in London, and the parents are in Pasadena. However, Grand Cayman turns out to be a bit further away from London that LA. This was hardly relevant because the whole point in my mind was to go someplace really warm.
The sun was in and out of the clouds, but it stayed in the 80’s (high 20’s C) the whole time. We spent the trip drifting around the beach outside our hotel and exploring the island with our rent a car. Luckily we got a decent car, and not the Daihatsu Charade (I shit you not) that some of our co-tourists traveled in.
We saw sea turtles, blue iguanas, jet skied, and got lots of sun. Enjoy the pictures here. I’ll be posting some off and on to my photo blog as well.

Hey:
How about the sting rays? Sorry I forgot the underwater camera!

Oh yeah, I forgot to write about that. We swam with sting rays, and I got to “hold” one. Sort of a light hug technique seemed to work best.
