Jo and I spent the weekend in The New Forest. It’s a National Park near the south coast of England. We got there a little late in the day on Saturday, so we hung out in Lyndhurst, where our B&B was. Since it was late afternoon, we went for a cream tea at the Mad Hatter’s Tea room. They gave us some of the best scones and cream I’ve ever had. We then explored the local pubs and ended up at the best restaurant in town, a Chinese restaurant. Sounds funny to go for Chinese in a small English village, but the food was excellent.

On Sunday we went mountain biking, which was the inspiration for the whole trip. The route was through a combination of forest trails and country lanes. The riding was basic, but the occasional deep muddy patch offered some thrills and the landscape was gorgeous. Check out the photos below:
