Heres a little movie that popped into my head when I thought
about how silly all the Jesus and Darwin fish bumper stickers are.

Quick Sumary Tutorial

First I drew out some story boards. Yes I know I can’t draw.

I then shot the video according to the story boards. I had about
8 different shots and picked the best few for the final cut.I loaded the first
handheld shot into Maya Live for camera tracking.

I then modeled the fish in 3ds max and rigged them in Maya.

I then made some simple models of the cars’ trunks to receive
shadows and reflections, and to base my animation off of. These trunks were
lined up with the motion tracked camera from Maya Live.

I then animated the fish based off of my story boards.

Once I got all of the animation where I wanted it, I added materials to the
fish and trunks to get them to blend with the video. Then each camera angle
was rendered out with 4 interlaced passes.

I then loaded these passes into Shake, and adjusted their general appearance
to match them more closely with the video. I added some Pixelate nodes with
an animated Rotoshape to mask out the license plate numbers. Below is a sample
Shake network from the handheld opening shot.

Once I had each shot the way I wanted, I loaded them all into Premiere and
cut them all together. I then added sound which I captured with my mini dv camera
and edited with Sound Forge. Below is my Premiere timeline.

I then added some titles and rendered it out.
